Mock Trial =3!!!~

Last week, Ms Kristen, my Law teacher, gave us an assignment... Mock Trial =3!!!~

Our class (1st period) is divided into two groups, and each group is assigned a trial (Same goes with Ms's 4th period class!!!). In each group, we are divided into the Judge, the accused, Crown attorney, defence attorney, court clerk and witness.

For my group, we got this case on this guy who drove while impaired by alcohol. The other one got the murder case *pouts*...

Well, actually, we were suppose to get the murder trial, but Ms change at the last minute (Bummer!)... haih, oh well...

Both trials will be held on Monday and Tuesday's class, and Monday's class get to do their trial at Taylor's DR2, the "court" in Taylor's!!!

Unfortunately, to make matter "a little bit" bad after we got the impaired driving instead of the murder case... my group got Tuesday T-T... classroom!!!

I mean, we got the "less interesting" (Hehe, no one die mar =P!!!) case, and we got classroom somemore!!! Haih...

... but at least got some advantage =3...
- We get to see them go first, and learn from their mistake...
- Classroom is smaller, so no need mic or anything; just talk louder...
- No one else came in to see the trial on Tues (Our programme director came for Monday one @.@...) =P!!!

Back to my mock trial, i'll skip the whole story on that impaired driver lar (Unless if you're interested...), and skip to more important points of the trial ^=~!!!~

I was the accused at first, but i changed to the defence attorney at the last minute, because i wanted to be a lawyer (=P!!!)!!!

Also because the Crown attorney had this guy, whose mom was a lawyer and he is very "sharp" and aggressive one, so i don't want to face him too lor, hehehe XP!!!

Anyway, being a defence attorney is MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!! Plus the actual assigned defence attorney is cool about changing to be the accused (It also means less work for him lor XP!!!), so hehehe, eiko-chan, the defence attorney XD!!!~

And thanks to Ms for letting us change our roles on Monday lar!!!~ Hehehe!!!~


We discussed the trial on Monday after college... from 1pm until almost 3pm like that @.@... wow!!!~

But it was worth it, because we discuss the questions and all, and prepare everything, so yeah, it was good X3!!!~


However... we lost the trial T-T...

I lost my first trial ;o; (Although just mock ;-;...)...

Stupid judge... haih... don't talk about his reason dee lar; one things for sure is WE HAVE GOOD POINTS BUT WE JUST WITHOUT A GOOD REASON!!!

I failed my client T-T...


Though, i seriously think our group did a wonderful job in the trial; with me making both the Crown witness went 0_0 and cannot really answer my question properly... hehehe XP!!!~

Because when my group and i were discussing, we caught their "leg", so we created questions to be put at the end which will make it hard for them to answer XD!!!~ Banzai XD!!!~

My favourite one was the first Crown witness. I ask her a leading question, and she answered her reason instead of yes or no, and i went "You just need to answer yes or no..." (Something like that...)... so mean XD!!!~

But then hehe, its a good thing to create like, something wrong with her testiomny and judgement to help my client gain more strong points ler!!!~ Muahahahahahahaha XD!!!~


Although i think we did a good job, but still cannot help but felt depressed lar... but got a good thing in today's =3!!!~

Ms Kristen is handing out awards for those she felt is most outstanding or something lar, in the mock trials...

Total of 4 awards:
- Something - forgot what it is but it was presented to Ji-nette, the judge in the murder trial;
- Most likely to pursue a career in Law;
- Most likely to runaway from the Law - my client, Kenneth, got this, hehehe =P;
- Last one... also cannot really remember, but i think was Best job well-done or something - given to the Judge of our trial, Prakash.

And hehehe... it came quite a shock, but i was please nevertheless X3!!!~

I got the "Most likely to pursue a career in law" XD!!!~


So happy nyan XD!!!~ And when Ms was saying about that award, she looked around my area and that time i was blur blur abit =P; to be honest, i don't know what was happening because i was busy reading my Law textbook XP!!!

Even when she presented one of the award to Ji-nette, who was before me, i still @.@ abit and just follow crowd clap, was still wondering "Har, what happened???" something like that... hehehe =P!!!

Anyways, Ms then look at me and i went "0_0 WHAT???" and say the award was to me and i went "@o@ What??? ME????", and i seriously went hot (Must've blushed XD!!!~) and thanked Ms and looked down smiling XD...

Somehow, got feel embarass abit... don't know why, probably because we failed our client; but at the same time, hee, trying not to look too please lar XD (eiko-chan's ego attempting to break lose XP!!!~)!!!~ Heeeeee!!!~

But hehehe... HAPPY NYAN XD!!!~
Really thank Ms because it really really gave me a huge encouragement and support; as i really love Law and was seriously considering it after ICPU!!!~Thanks Ms Kristen ^-^!!!~


Ok ler, till here, want to finish up my Law assignment (Counts in the test...); test this Fri @.@... I got OS test on Mon, IB test on Wed and Law Fri... wow @o@... this time must prepare better lor, unlike the OS and IB's XP!!!~


Heeheeeheeeeee, ok ok, ja XD!!!~



p/s: This time the OS test, luckily not bad X3!!!~ Because got study abit!!! Got 30 1/2 over 40!!! Nothing brilliant, but got improvement compared to last time!!! Yeah XD!!!~


Mr Reynolds was so nice; because we didn't have enough time to finish the IB test today during 3rd period, so he allow us to continue at his 5th and 6th period with other class XD!!!~ So the last few questions i was able to answer better (Because read abit during 4th period XP!!!~)!!!~ Hope its ok lar X3!!!~


And hehehe, btw, for Ms Kristen's 4th period Law class, which Amanda was in... Amanda was the judge in her case on drugs XD!!!~

SHE WAS SO FUNNY XD (I went to see the trial...)!!!

She was like, trying to be serious but was on the verge on breaking out to laugh or joke XD!!! So very funny XD!!!~

Although Amanda IS serious at the time, but it was quite funny to see Amanda act serious lar, so although she REALLY IS serious, everyone laugh whenever she tried to talk seriously or something!!!

And especially when she use the squeaky toy hammer to bang the table for "order in my court"!!! Everyone went mad with laughter XD!!!~ Hehehe!!!~ Funny X3!!!~

She should be a judge next time; so courts won't be so boring anymore!!!

But trials will be hard to proceed lar... hehehe... because EVERYONE WILL BE BUSY LAUGHING XD!!!~ Hehehehehehehe XP!!!~
