Petition to PROTEST against Dog Catching Competition!

Remember the dog-catching-competition?

Here's a petition someone has made in protest to that barbaric decision! Please do sign it if you strongly disagree to the so-called "dog-catching" competition (or if you're just free, and if you are still not convinced why to sign the petition, read what i've write but you are warned that i can be long-winded. I welcome any thick fools who may want to try to go against me for a healthy debate.)!

I don't know the reliability of this petition, but at least its something we can do!

By the way, since when has "dog-catchings" left for the public to deal with? And somemore its "paid", they just sugar-coated the word "salary" to competition... why should we get paid for a job the MPS animal squad should do? Might as well we send our resumes in and apply to be "dog-catcher" full-time right? Or are they trying to promote this to be our "paid-hobby"?

Might as well promote this as a "Earn some money in your free time" campaign, wth...

Its probably because the council (people who made this decision) are getting lazier and lazier to do things, thats why they delegate it to us publics while they can sit back, eat nasi lemak and drink kopi-o lebih kau.

Keep in mind that the MPS animal squad are "trained professionals". They know the best way to capture an animal humanely without causing any suffering upon it (but whether or not they will actually not let the animal suffer pain, we won't know obviously)... even if they don't do so, at least THEY KNOW HOW...

As if the public knows (and some, do they even care? Since money is involved now?)...

Teach the public how to catch dogs? Why not you use THAT MONEY to train YOUR PEOPLE to work and produce better results? You can even save the cash-prize (which is alot mind, i can buy 15,000 plates of nasi lemak biasa adee!), and will be able to buy more nasi-lemak and kopi-O lebih kau! Isn't that even better?

I tell you, if this competition really proceeded, let me just wait till the time someone, so cruel and thick as to try to catch dogs for money, gets hurt (untrained professionals mar, what to do...) during the "dog-catching" competition... hah, lets sit back and wait to watch a GOOD MOVIE!

And btw, i totally disagree with this statement made by the Menteri Besar! His so not getting my vote if i'm allowed to vote!
Though, i'll probably save my true feelings on his statement for yumchar sessions etc, for fearing if i post it here i'll probably get sued or something...

Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo has supported the move by the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) to organise a dog-catching competition.

Competitions like this are good, as the animals are not killed but caught and handed over to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

"Dog-catching must be done as the strays could attack children or even adults. The animals could also spread diseases as the strays rummage through garbage and contract skin diseases," he told reporters after chairing the state executive council meeting here.

Quoted from this article.

I highlighted those two points bold because i strongly disagree on those two.

FIRST - the competition is NOT GOOD, whoever who said its "good" must be really thick.

SECOND - Yes, we can't deny that strays might attack children or even adults, but most of the time, lets face it, its those CHILDREN WHO GATAL!
If they didn't provoke the dogs, chances are those dogs are probably scared of them (i have good proves to back this fact up)!
Yes, children will always be children, but PARENTS should teach their children not to provoke dogs. If you insist on the fact children are children, then you are a LOUSY PARENT! Or useless perhaps, seeing that you are not able to raise authority over your children.
Its time not only the dogs get blamed for everything. Most of the time the victim themselves are to be blamed too!
And also, yes, there are also crazy dogs, but what are the chances the crazy dogs only attack children? They'll attack everyone who they see as a threat, and also i hope they attack those people who tries to catch them for the prize money. Those fools are so thick, Gregory Goyle would probably top them in a kindergarten exam.

Also, keep in mind SPCA are not there to help us "dispose of unwanted animals". They are an animal organization out to prevent cruelty to animals, promote kindness to animals (which we Malaysians, especially those who suggested this idea, so lack) and encourage responsible pet ownership (which we too lack - because we don't want to spay our pets)!

Actually, i have LOADS to say about the article, but i better keep it for another time (till another fool comes out with more stuffs for me to talk back)...

Another thing i disagree:
However Dr Khir stressed that those involved in the dog catching competition should exercise humane methods and not be cruel to the animals with the intention of grabbing the prize money.

Quoted from same article as quote above.
You really think those who are eyeing the prize money would CARE (= =")?
For one, if they really "join the competition", it'll show they want money ONLY and won't care for the animals ok?
Those who like animals, even some who don't like animals, won't even want anything to do with the bloody competition, except to protest it! ITS A CRUEL ACT!

There are a lot of people in this world who ate more salt than i had ate rice (some Chinese saying)... but sometimes i felt i'm so much more mature (= =")... namo amitabha...
