HOME =D!
Its 12:01am (the dinner finished around 10pm, i got home close to 11pm)!~
Ooh, yeah, i went to Midvalley for a farewell dinner for Faye and James =(... both of them are leaving to Canada for studies (OH HAIL CANADA!~)!
Going to miss them and all my ICPU peeps (ㅠ.ㅠ)... its like we're all growing up! Kekeke!
I'll post up the pics and about the dinner soon, as soon as i get it from the rest =D!
But for now, let me post THIS first... because...
I GOT LOST =D!
... why do i seem so happy about it (= =")...?
I was dreaming, and was suppose to take the turn to Midvalley but i missed it, and end up on the road to Cheras/ Jalan Klang Lama!!
And typically me when i got lost, i laughed out loud again (= =")... But this time at least got panic abit because i'm afraid i might end up at some toll (don't want to pay)!
So anyways, i drove along the road (and went HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~~), trying to find a U-turn when i realize i'm driving on a highway (no U-turns), so instead, i find the road sign to "Pusat Bandaraya" instead of keep on going straight to Cheras!! Cause even if the road to Cheras has a U-turn further up, the other side is REALLY JAM, and i don't want to be stuck in a jam and end up missing the dinner!
Pusat Bandaraya = KL: VERY familiar territory (my territory - can drive with eyes close provide there's no jam), so even if i get lost there, i can always find a way to get back to Midvalley.
Cheras: Unfamiliar territory. Don't even bother to try.
When i turn at the road sign to Pusat Bandaraya, there was three roads to take: Pusat Bandaraya, SMART LEBUHRAYA and "don't-know-mana".
I turn at the Pusat Bandaraya sign, but saw this motorcycle sign at the SMART LEBUHRAYA sign pointing at the lane I'M at, and thought I WAS AT A LANE FOR MOTORBIKES!!
When i wanted to reverse my car, another car was coming my way so i had to go straight ahead.
(The motorcycle sign means motorbikes cannot take the SMART LEBUHRAYA - have to use the road i'm using instead)!
Which is really lucky the car came, otherwise i would've reversed to SMART, and end up in the famous "KL-JAM" and probably missed the dinner!
So i traveled along this long stretch of road passing the old airport!! OMG!!! Isn't it quite far from Bangsar area dee? But it helped with the fact i've been on this road countless times adee, just not the part before entering it.
So drive drive (laugh laugh), luckily, i found the signboard for the road i want to go to (Istana Negara) - the other road is to KL and its JAM anyways - and i know the way to Midvalley from Istana Negara, so full steam ahead!
Stuck in a mild jam along that stretch of road, but at least i'm (very) familiar with that road, and reached Midvalley like, half-an-hour late =P!
And honestly, the road i end-up taking "because i had daydreamed and didn't take the earlier exit"... its just like taking an EXTRA SUPER BIG ROUND to Midvalley...
My petrol (ㅠ.ㅠ)... not to forget the time i could've spend playing with the gang instead (ㅠoㅠ)...
And i'm come up with some points i should really consider the next time i get lost:
- Stop laughing, and act panic for a change
- Stop thinking or worrying in case there's toll up ahead - you deserve it for getting lost because it'll usually be because YOU ARE DREAMING!!
- AT LEAST HAVE A FRIEND WITH YOU WHEN YOU ARE LOST - twice i got lost and i'm alone; but at least i get to laugh like a nutcase and nobody (except the car next to mine) would know...
I guess i didn't panic because whenever there's a road to drive, there'll be a way out?
Its KUALA LUMPUR, just as long as you just don't drive OUT of KL can adee right? Hehehe =P!
ps: The statement does not apply to the Selangor state - it is bigger and i'm afraid i might end up at Perak or something.
So yeah, i got lost, SECOND TIME! WOOT XD!~
And really, luckily this time i have roadsigns to follow - the last time i can only follow my instincts and wonder which way to take - THANK GOD everything is fine now!
But the funny thing is:
- The last time i got lost:
- It was very unfamiliar territory; its at Ampang but i feel its kinda the "outskirt" part adee, though a lot of cars along that road, it was VERY narrow and only houses on both sides.
- I did not panic even one bit - laughed even more.
- This time i got lost:
- It was "sorta" familiar territory; i've been on the road along the old airport before, and so do the exit part when i had to choose the way to Istana Negara.
- Got signboards.
- But i panicked because i was worried there might be toll ahead (= =")... and also because i would be late and i didn't manage to call Jacqui darling yet...
I'm so weird (= =")...
ps: Actually cannot exactly say "got lost" right? More like "took the wrong turn", since i knew the way after turning into Pusat Bandaraya...
Hmm...?
