Lol, another "late-posted" post!
---
Ah, after waiting for 2 years (or if i may say, 6 years)...
THE DAY HAS COME!
A paper which has been in my purse since March...
Ah, finally the time has come for you to see daylight. No pun intended.
Because...
Its 7am in the morning... daylight!
What are all these crazy people doing?
Ah, and i've spotted the craziest of em' all!
Haha, yeah, we woke up REALLY EARLY IN THE MORNING just so we could be the first fews in the world (the whole world are to release the book at the exact same time) to get our copies of the long-awaited book!
Luckily we are in Malaysia, so not everyone are willing to wake up this early (except for us die-hard, full-of-enthusiam fans!), thus we won't need to wait long before we can get our hands on the book!
I shudder to think what would happen if it were to be released at noon or night, surely A LOT of people waiting adee one!!
Anyways, here's a brief walkthrough on the whole morning!
- I slept late, so technically, i am suppose to wake up around 10am-12pm roundish as scheduled. But that day, SamSoon called me up around 5am BEFORE 6am, and instead of answering with my usual zombie-language-because-i-am-not-awake-yet, i answer it with full-of-enthusiam, though i just jumped out of bed! Which is definitely a record or something!
- Chatted for awhile, because we were really excited, but at the same time with heavy hearts, because hey, THIS IS THE LAST BOOK =(...
Queen came in to wake me at around 6am, i too answer her with much enthusiasm, having just hang up from the call.
That said... i fell back to sleep immediately (though i actually thought i was awake! SamSoon said its probably because i was too tired, but too excited to sleep so i am physically asleep but mentally awake! GASP!) until around 6.30am+ that i jumped out of bed, really JUMP, because i am already late! I quickly changed, wash face and brush teeth, and sped like a mad woman to fetch SamSoon.
- Picked her up, drove to OU new wing, "dumped" (hehehe, actually park lar, but "dump" has a much stronger effect =P!) car at bus-stop. The book is more important.
Nobody else that mad anyways, and also the madder ones had arrived much earlier they had time to park inside. Both of us are "running out of time" cause we arrived there around 6.55am! WHO CARES ABOUT PARKING PROPERLY (no guards anyways)!!
- Two mad women racing to MPH XD!
Add all those up and we get...
HAPPY PEOPLE!!
One for me to read when i'm feeling like child-ish, another when i'm feeling adult-ish... or whatever XD!~ Kekeke!
And i did NOT take SamSoon's bag just for that pic (as if she'll let me pry it away from her hands!), i really did buy two copies because i love books XD!~If you know how to take me... kekeke...
We went for breakfast soon after, and EVEN bought our books down with us for fear of it being stolen from my car, which is parked not more than 20 steps away from us.
We thought we would read it (which we did last 2 years when get our copies of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - and yes, we did wake up at 7am that just to collect our books! So this time waking early isn't new honestly!), but this time somehow, we didn't read it for fear of it getting dirty (and also the "fear-factor"... explained later!).
Ah, i LOVE the smell of a new book! Even better than breakfast! Shame i couldn't have books for breakfast XD!
The cup which comes with book!~
Queen made me a full glass of FRESH ORANGE JUICE when i got home after breakfast, as a way of praising me for a "job well done", having finally waking up early (for once... and only that once)!
YUMMY!~ Nothing is better than a new book and FRESH ORANGE JUICE Queen makes XD!~
YAH!~
Collection complete (^^ )!~
Collection complete (^^ )!~
I LOVE HARRY POTTER XD!~
Oh, and the "fear-factor" is because as excited as we are to start reading the book, we also felt "fear" because if we finish this, its really THE END.
No more looking forward for the next book 2 years later.
No more waking up 7am to collect book.
No more Harry Potter adventures to grow up together.
That said, i spent the whole day reading the book; from around 2pm till 3am, only pausing for toilet breaks, snacks and dinner.
I stopped reading at Chapter30 because as said, the "fear-factor", so i stopped for almost a week and admire myself on how i can manage to stay away from it for so long!
But i finally finished it after all, and somehow, instead of the heavy-feeling i've felt like when LOTR finally ends (nothing to look forward to anymore), somehow i feel really... i don't know... HAPPY i guess! I don't know how to describe my feelings at that moment, but one thing i know is:
Harry has grown up. So has i.
We had grew up together and as the saying goes, every good thing has to come to an end.
And i'm glad i'm part of the whole journey!~
Its like you had been on an adventure with a "friend", and now the adventure has end, and its time to bid goodbye... but the memories will stay forever in our hearts.
